The Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus sits closer to a rolling home battery than the little power stations people toss into a trunk. Its 3,584Wh LiFePO4 battery and 3,600W inverter are built for refrigerators, cooking gear, pumps, networking equipment, and other household loads that would make a camping battery quietly reconsider its career choices.
Serious Backup Power
The station delivers 3,600W of continuous AC power with a 7,200W surge. Four standard AC outlets cover everyday appliances, while the 30A NEMA TT-30 outlet makes the HomePower 3600 Plus particularly useful for RV owners.
A single unit remains a 120V system. Jackery’s 240V parallel mode requires a second HomePower 3600 Plus and a separately sold Jackery Connector, so buyers with well pumps, dryers, or other 240V loads need to budget beyond this bundle.
Expandable Battery, Long Life
The 3,584Wh LiFePO4 battery is one of the strongest parts of the package. Jackery rates it for 6,000 cycles to at least 70% remaining capacity, and optional Battery Pack 3600 modules can expand total storage to roughly 21.5kWh.
That gives the system room to grow from short outage duty into something much more substantial. Expansion batteries are not included here, which is worth remembering before mentally turning the base package into a week-long microgrid.
Solar Ready, but 400W Is Modest
This configuration includes two SolarSaga 200W bifacial TOPCon panels for 400W of nominal solar capacity. Each panel reaches up to 25% conversion efficiency, folds for transport, and carries an IP68 rating.
The panels are capable, but 400W is not a huge solar array for a 3.6kWh battery. It is useful for daytime top-ups and extending runtime, but buyers who want faster solar recovery should remember that the station itself can accept up to 1,000W of DC input.
Smart Backup Without Much Fuss
The HomePower 3600 Plus supports automatic UPS switching when grid power disappears. The Jackery app adds Wi-Fi and Bluetooth monitoring, battery status, charging schedules, and energy-management controls. The front LCD also shows remaining battery percentage, so checking your power supply does not require finding your phone first.
Portable, Technically
The main station weighs 77.16 pounds. Calling that portable is accurate in the same way that a suitcase full of bowling balls is portable, but the built-in wheels and retractable handle do most of the negotiating.
The station itself is not waterproof or dustproof, so it belongs indoors or under proper shelter while the panels handle the weather outside.
Overall Assessment
The HomePower 3600 Plus is a strong fit for households that want substantial plug-and-play backup without immediately committing to a permanently installed whole-home battery. Its powerful inverter, long-cycle battery, expandability, RV outlet, 100W USB-C ports, app control, and solar capability make it unusually versatile.
The main compromises are weight, the extra hardware required for 240V operation, and the relatively small 400W solar array included in this configuration. For essential home backup and RV use, though, it offers plenty of room to grow.
